As you walk around the churchyard you will see the snowdrops now in bloom. Coming up fast behind them crocuses are about to flower. Meanwhile some of the hundreds of heritage daffodils (several different varieties) are also coming into bloom as they make thier way through the grass and ivy.
Hopefully we will still have some in bloom at Easter which is late this year.
In the meantime some of the fallen branches have been removed whilst others are placed around the churchyard to create habitats for insects.
Our church is the venue for a diocesan conference on eco matters at the end of the month. Called "Moral Bones" it is based on a quote from Ezekiel, "Mortal, can these bones live?": and is a theological and practical study day on creation care in the season of resurrection
